Cost:
Cor-Form can be installed and ready to receive concrete in about 5 to 10 minutes. When compared to traditional methods, you are going to reduce your costs by at least 60 to 70 percent. The cost of labor is expensive, and Cor-Form helps to drastically reduce that cost.
Time
Everyone is looking to save time on the job. The installation of Cor-Form is only 5 to 10 minutes to be complete. It could take hours and/or must be done at night or on the weekend by performing with traditional methods. Needing to access the floor below means you are likely going to have to coordinate with another tenant and having to work around their schedule. Being able to fill in a core hole with no need to coordinate with anyone is a huge benefit
Coordination
Traditional methods require you to access the floor below to cover the bottom of the core hole. Having to coordinate with building management and other tenants can become a time consuming and difficult process. With Cor-Form, there is not need for this additional coordination because you don’t need to access the floor below the hole. You can likely have Cor-Form installed before you get the building manager on the phone to discuss access.
Security
Any time you are coordinating to access another tenants space, security in that space becomes a concern. Some tenants are lax about this, but most will require building management or a security guard to be there while the work is performed. This could also have a cost impact if the cost of security is passed on to the contractor. The need for security is not longer needed with the use of Cor-Form as you don’t need to access that space to infill any core hole.
Safety
Last and certainly not least are the safety benefits. It is common when accessing the floor below that the hole your needing to cover is over someone’s desk, a conference table, etc. That means that you need to cover the desk in plastic and may even need to build staging over the desk to safely access the ceiling above. All of this is absolutely eliminated with Cor-Form. Being able to fill the hole from the floor you are working keeps all your employees on the ground and safe. Not to mention if you are working in a hospital or lab space that have strict rules about infection control and air quality concerns. Filling out your JHA just got a whole lot easier!
